Puerto Rico is a diverse Caribbean island about the size of Connecticut.
Entrance to the harbor at San Juan, Puerto Rico
The island is covered with historical sites, mountains and rain forests, and is circled by mangrove swamps and beautiful beaches.

Many cruise ships sailing the eastern Caribbean either embark, disembark, or stopover in San Juan, and the cruise ship pier is conveniently located in the picturesque old town.

Like the United States, Australia is a huge country, but it's also a small continent.
Australia koala
I travel frequently and always enjoy meeting the gregarious Australians, who seem to often venture outside their island continent to explore the rest of the world, despite the long distances they must travel. However, their own country Australia is an amazing place itself, filled with diverse landscape and animals seen nowhere else in the world. Where else can you find koalas, emus, wombats, kangaroos, and wallabies?

Early next year, passengers sailing aboard Silversea Cruises first-ever voyage to completely circumnavigate Australia will have an opportunity to experience much of this fascinating country/continent and to meet the friendly Australians who revel in showing their magnificent country to travelers.

The Silversea Silver Shadow will sail on a 30-day, Sydney-to-Sydney Voyage 3102. From January 19 to February 18, the 382-guest, ultra-luxury ship will follow a counterclockwise course around the vast island continent with calls in Brisbane, Whitsunday Islands, Port Douglas, Cooktown, Darwin, Broome, Exmouth, Perth, Albany, Port Lincoln, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne and Hobart (Tasmania).

Gibraltar has long played an important role in history.
Rock of Gibraltar
Its strategic position at the narrow entrance to the Mediterranean has made Gibraltar the envy of many invaders through the centuries who sought possession of the tiny peninsula with the big rock. Next door Spain ruled Gibraltar for over 242 years until it was transferred to Great Britain in 1713. Gibraltar has remained strongly British since that day.

Many cruise ships call on Gibraltar for the day on cruises between the Mediterranean and northern Europe. With a day in port, visitors can visit the famous Rock of Gibraltar, tour St. Michael's Cave, and learn about the important role Gibraltar has played in the history of the world.

Cheap Holidays Guide

Author: Jez Rourke

The holiday is something everyone can enjoy; it is an essential
break to allow unwinding and reconnection with family and
friends. Sadly though, all too often these wonderful breaks from
working life can dig a little too deep into the pockets. Why
waste an obscene amount of money on travel really? It would be
far better spent on having a good time once you actually arrive!

The problem is many people do not have the first clue where to
start looking when it comes to holidays. The majority of people
do not understand that an amazing holiday does not have to cost
insane amounts of money. Quite to the contrary, some of the best
holidays are also the cheapest!

Exactly how cheap you can get a holiday obviously greatly
depends on what type of holiday you want. A cruise around the
Caribbean or a river crusie up the Nile might cost a little more
than a weekend in Paris. However, the process of finding such
holidays is actually essentially the same, particularly with the
help of the internet. Even if you have the money to burn on a
Caribbean cruise with Amazon adventure it still doesn't mean you
should waste thousands of pounds.

The key to any good search is comparison. The comparison of the
different airlines, the comparison of different hotels and
resorts, the comparison of insurance, etc. The more information
you have, the easier it is to barter with them. They want your
money, and they will bargain if they are being upstaged by
someone else.

Until recently the problem with this approach was that it was a
real pain and very time intensive; many people simply ended up
opting for an expensive travel agent. However, the power of the
interent has changed everything; the actual process of locating
good deals has changed little over the last few decades. In
other words, you just need to log on and browse for the best
deals, usually in resorts around the south coast of Europe, and
you can get away with a truly amazing deal.

For more savings, it is a good idea to be a little flexible; if
you are willing to accept any town in the region you wish to
visit, and you can be flexible with your flight dates, you will
save a lot of money. The same is true if you can manage to go a
little earlier - holidays are usually a fair bit cheaper in June
and July than they are in August. Plus it's a lot less crowded
(and cheaper) once you get there as well.
